Chief Manager Committed Suicide in BOB, AIBOBOA Written to MD & CEO

A tragic incident is reported in the Pune Zone of Bank of Baroda, where a Chief Manager Scale 4 officer, namely Mr Shiv Mitra of the bank, Commited Suicide. According to police official news reported in the newspaper, a suicide note was found in which he mentioned EXCESSIVE work pressure at the Bank as the reason for Suicide. However, no personal allegation is made against any Top Management.

All India Bank of Baroda Officers Association has written a letter to the MD& CEO of BOB Debadatta Chand, citing that there is poor coordination and excessive stress on officers in the bank. Again, a debate has started on social media about stress and overburdening the staff of public sector banks.

 

 

 

 

 

A Leader of UFBU told us that Banks’ Unions are demanding 5-day banking for the last Several Years to make work-life balance better for Employees of PSB, but as on that no significant progress has been made on the issue.
