Agitation by Bank Officers in PNB
It has come to our attention that a significant number of Officers at Punjab National Bank within the Ara Circle of the Patna Zone are currently engaged in a protest.
The reported cause of this agitation is the perceived “dictatorial attitude” of their Circle Head. Allegations include:
Issuance of Mid-Year Transfer Orders: This action is being contested as potentially disruptive and potentially in contravention of established transfer policies.
Denial of Leaves: The reported denial of leave applications is seen as a violation of employee entitlements and may have a negative impact on employee morale and well-being.
Marking of Unauthorized Absence: This practice is being challenged as unjustified and potentially in violation of the Bipartite Agreement, a crucial document outlining agreed-upon terms and conditions of service between bank unions and the Indian Banks’ Association (IBA).
It is reported that over 100 Officers are participating in this protest under the banner of the All India Punjab National Bank Officers’ Association (AIPNBOA).
